Willow’s Amazing 3D Printing Journey
When Willow was just 5 years old, she received a toy 3D printer for her birthday. Instead of printing boring plastic cubes, she designed a tiny 3D-printed crown for her cat, Mr. Whiskers. The rest is history! Today, at 7 years old, Willow is the creative mastermind behind KoolKids 3D. She spends her weekends sketching wild creature designs on her iPad and testing every single toy to make sure they’re super fun. Her dream is to fill every kid’s room with magical, colorful 3D-printed creations straight from her imagination.
But her vision goes further. Willow is building KoolKids 3D to be community-focused and a tool for teaching diversity. She wants schools, libraries, therapy centers, and community groups to use her toys as hands-on ways to celebrate different abilities, cultures, and ways of thinking — helping kids see that every brain and body is unique and valuable.
Every toy can be personalized for the child who will play with it. For kids with ADHD, Willow designs pieces that work with busy brains fidget-friendly shapes, gentle weighted elements, calming textures, and modular parts that help with focus, regulation, and staying engaged.
